Usage precaution
Do not carry anything excessively heavy, do not use the bag and its strap for any unusual purpose which could alter the materials and the color. Protect the bag and its strap from damp, extended exposure to artificial, natural light or intense heat. Remove the strap from the bag when it is not being used to avoid possible marks. Handle the strap gently, do not remove it abruptly. Avoid bumping or dropping the item that could break the wooden pieces. Avoid any contact with jewellery or other objects that could scratch the wooden pieces. Do not graze or rub the item against rough surfaces. Avoid contact with water, greasy or oily products, make-up and perfumes. If the item comes into contact with water, dab it dry with a soft, absorbent cloth that does not pill.
Care advice
Clean all items in Goyardine and leather with a soft cloth that does not pill. Never use any solvents or cleaning products available from shops. Regularly return your item to our craftsmen for deep cleaning or reconditioning. Move the cloth all over the item; avoid intensive and repetitive rubbing which may damage the chevrons or the leather. Keep the bag and its strap in their respective case, separately, away from light, heat and damp when they are not being used. Fill the interior with tissue paper to keep its shape. Do not use plastic to store the item.

inspiration
The Vendôme bag is named after Place Vendôme, one of Paris’s most beautiful squares. The centre of French elegance, it is a short walk from our historic store at number 233, rue Saint-Honoré. Maison Goyard was the first Parisian designer to create a dome-shaped bag in the early 20th century.
