The Steamer PM bag has four half-circle studs (two at the back of the flap and 2 others on the sides) for attaching an additional canvas strap to wear the bag over the shoulder or across the chest, or two straps to wear it as a backpack. This clever modular design is a feature dear to Maison Goyard.

It is possible to buy one additional MM strap in canvas for wearing the Steamer PM bag across the chest. This strap attaches to the studs on the top of the bag.

Shoulder style

It is possible to buy one additional MM strap in canvas for wearing the Steamer PM bag over the shoulder. This strap attaches diagonally to the studs on the back of the bag.

Inspiration

The Steamer PM bag is a version of the Steamer GM bag, a faithful companion for 20th century travellers. It was used as an onboard bag for dirty clothes, separating them from clean clothes. It was hung from the back of the door of the cabin during long journeys on cruise liners.

Usage precaution

Do not graze or rub the item against rough surfaces, particularly the leather flap.
Avoid contact with water, greasy or oily products, make-up and perfumes.
If the item comes into contact with water, dab it dry with a soft, absorbent cloth that does not pill.

Move the cloth all over the item; avoid intensive and repetitive rubbing which may damage the chevrons or the leather.
Clean the interior using a soft brush to remove any dust.
Never use any solvents or cleaning products available from shops Regularly return your item to our craftsmen for deep cleaning or reconditioning.
Keep the item in its case away from light, heat and damp when it is not being used.
Fill the interior with tissue paper to keep its shape.
Do not use plastic to store the item.
