THE PETIT FLOT

The art of the bucket bag by Goyard

Creating timeless pieces that fly above the challenge of times and trends has been the spirit of Maison Goyard since its creation in 1853.

A path that is based on a creative approach that privileges traditional craftsmanship and research into the house’s treasured archives to create new versions of classic pieces. This ethos is illustrated perfectly in the genesis of the Petit Flot bucket bag.

A timeless staple, the bucket bag had already inspired the Goyard ateliers in the sixties, when a first model was crafted with a Jacquard canvas; this model was inspired by picnic hampers consisting of modest little tin buckets, that the log floaters* took with them while they transported firewood by river from the Morvan forests to Paris, the original profession of the Goyard family.

A new take on the original, the Petit Flot keeps its principal codes, yet in a contemporary version where the Jacquard canvas is replaced by the emblematic Goyardine and where an accent is put on modularity, with several possibilities in the way it can be sported thanks to its adjustable strap combined to an ingenious system of inner hooks: short, mid‑length or long strap on the shoulder, or cross body, the Petit Flot will go along with all your needs and wishes.

Light and feminine, the Petit Flot also proves itself sturdy and never loses shape due to its reinforced Goyardine canvas, while remaining practical and secure with its leather pull‑string cord allowing you to tighten it and adjust it to what’s inside in one simple gesture.

The Petit Flot is available in a palette of 11 colours: Black, Black & Tan, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Sky Blue, Navy Blue, Burgundy, White and Grey.
