The Alexandre III bag was named as a tribute to a Maison Goyard customer at an evening by Alexandre III Bridge; she was wearing the vintage bag of which this is a re-issue. This bridge is named after the penultimate tsar of Russia, Alexander III, member of the eminent Russian imperial family for whom Maison Goyard was an official supplier.

Clean the padded Goyardine as you would the traditional Goyardine fabric: with a soft cloth that does not pill using large sweeping movements.
Avoid intensive and repetitive rubbing which may damage the chevrons.

Protect the calfskin suede lining from stains and any abrasive rubbing because it is particularly delicate.
Keep the item in its case away from light, heat and damp when it is not being used.
Do not use plastic to store the item.
