Maison Goyard pays homage to the Ocean
OPEN OCEAN
To be by your side for all your travels, whether far-away or around the corner, real or imaginary: such has been Goyard’s creed since 1853.
After exploring in 2023 the woodlands of the Morvan, home of the Goyard family, we are pleased to invite you on another exceptional journey throughout 2024, with our mascot Hulot as a guide.
THE YOUNG AND THE PLAYFUL
The return of a Goyard figure
Hulot the dog, a French bulldog, has been something of Goyard muse for a long time.
Inspired by Edmond Goyard’s real-life dog of the same name and breed, Hulot the dog has since the 1890s starred in many advertising campaigns, brochures and catalogues for "Le Chic du Chien", the Maison’s cult pet accessories range, to which he is all but an official ambassador.
BACK TO OUR ROOTS
Maison Goyard celebrates its 170th anniversary
In 1853, when François Goyard took over the Maison that would, from then on, bear his name, his vision was deeply influenced by the legacy of the “Compagnons de Rivière”, his log-driving ancestors, who moved firewood downstream from the vast woodlands of the Morvan to supply the ovens and furnaces of Paris.
SECRETS AND MEMORIES OF THE MANOIR TRUNK
A Christmas tale by Goyard
Once upon a time there was a traveler lost in the woodlands of the Morvan.
No matter how hard he tried to figure out his map, the lost traveler couldn’t find his way back home.
As the sun was setting, and the cold of the night setting in, the lost traveler was getting increasingly worried and tired, when he saw a light in the distance, and decided to walk towards it.
PETIT FLOT AND THE LOG DRIVE
A Christmas tale by Goyard
Once upon a time there was a lovely bucket bag named Petit Flot.
All dressed up in bright red Goyardine canvas, the lovely bucket bag named Petit Flot lived a peaceful life in Clamecy, the hometown of the Goyard family, in the wild woodlands of the Morvan.
THE PALACE TRUNK AND THE STILL TRAVELER
A Christmas tale by Goyard
Once upon a time there was a Palace trunk that couldn’t wait to travel the world.
Ever since the day it came out of the Goyard workshops, it dreamed of distant horizons, but unfortunately, it had been purchased by a very special kind of traveler, a still traveler, one who mostly enjoyed travelling without moving.
GO APE
The Supermonkey Marquage Motif
In Belle-Epoque Paris, exotic pets were all the rage.
Therefore, when Edmond Goyard launched his “Chic du Chien” range of pet accessories in the 1890s, he made sure to include creations intended not just for cats and dogs, but also for monkeys.
THE BOHEME BAG
A bag for all seasons
Back in the day when the Goyard family still were driving firewood logs on the Yonne and Seine rivers from the forests of the Morvan to Paris, all “Compagnons de Rivière”, as these waterway log drivers were called, made sure not to leave without a versatile, hard-wearing & waterproof bag where they would keep all their personal belongings, not just for the outward leg of the journey, but also for the return one, as they would routinely walk back home all the way from Paris for 200 kms.
VIRTUOSO EMBROIDERIES
The Lotus Special Edition celebrates excellence in Craftsmanship
When French Chic and Indian Savoir-Faire meet: Goyard’s own artisans collaborated with the finest Indian embroiderers to elevate some of the Maison’s classics, namely the Silk Scarf N°1 and Mini & PM sized Saïgon handbags, to new heights.

THE SILVER GOYARDINE CANVAS

THE JETBLACK SPECIAL EDITION
Beyond Black by Goyard
“One has to look at the painting while appreciating the light reflected by the black surface. It’s essential. If one also sees only black, it means one is not really looking at the canvas” -Pierre Soulages
Blacker than black, precious and mysterious, blacker than the darkest night: the Jet Black Special Edition highlights the uncompromising purity and elegance of Goyard’s style, and reinvents our iconic Goyardine canvas in a powerful colourway of subtly intertwined hues of deep greys and blacks.

THE JOUX 6-WATCH-TRUNK
The art of timekeeping by Goyard
Since its creation in 1853, Maison Goyard has continually put the craftsmanship of its luggage-makers at the service of travelers.
Being the craftsmen that they are, they know better than anyone how much timepieces are indispensable accomplices for any departure towards new horizons, and have thus, over time, elaborated a trunk-making art specifically for them.
THE SAVILE ROW GARMENT BAG
The art of stylish hybridization by Goyard
The Savile Row achieves a seamless blend between two travel essentials: the garment bag and the travel bag.
From the garment bag, the Savile Row retains the easygoing practicality and the protective, cocoon‑like quality thanks to its built‑in slipcover, which can hold two men’s or women’s suits on the pair of Livrée hangers that are included.

THE VILLETTE TOTE
Humour, history and ‘savoir‑faire’ for a bag with character
Inspired by the emblematic Méditerranée bag, The Villette exemplifies the art of the tote bag the Goyard way, in a version that is both playful and colourful.
The Villette has an illustration between the two straps inspired by the Chic du Chien; the name that Edmond Goyard gave to the range of accessories proposed for pets ever since the 1890’s.
THE PETIT FLOT
The art of the bucket bag by Goyard
Creating timeless pieces that fly above the challenge of times and trends has been the spirit of Maison Goyard since its creation in 1853.
A path that is based on a creative approach that privileges traditional craftsmanship and research into the house’s treasured archives to create new versions of classic pieces. This ethos is illustrated perfectly in the genesis of the Petit Flot bucket bag.
CAMONDO 2 POUCH
The art of detail by Goyard
At first sight, the Camondo 2 pouch is simplicity itself: a parallelepiped with sleek lines crafted in a harmonious combination of two materials, Goyard canvas and smooth Vauzelles calfskin.
But behind this apparent minimalism, many discreet, almost secret, details reveal themselves to the experienced eye, all testimony to the authentic craftsmanship perpetuated by the Goyard workshops since 1853...

The name Claire Voie was inspired by an architectural technique used to brighten structures by allowing light to shine through.
