Maison Goyard is pleased to announce the opening of its new boutique in Chicago.

As with all Goyard comptoirs around the world, the first location in the Midwest captures the quintessential qualities of Goyard’s old-world charm.

The floor is covered with traditional oak chevron parquet, whilst custom mahogany cabinetry features spacious French antique wall vitrines showcasing vintage trunks from the Goyard Heritage Collection. The 1940s’ display tables are the works of famed French designer Gilbert Poillerat.

The collection of timeless elements sets the stage for the rich heritage that has served Goyard since its inception in 1853.

The spirit of Chicago is revealed in the state of the façade grillwork reminiscent of landmark edifices such as the Wrigley Building or the Tribune Tower. This made to measure, site-specific, polished chrome and stainless steel structure highlights the iconic Goyard “Y” pattern and pays tribute to Chicago’s distinctive architectural heritage.

Designed to deliver the same unique shopping experience enjoyed by clients at the historic flagship store at 233, rue Saint-Honoré in Paris, Goyard at Neiman Marcus Michigan Avenue also introduces the art of personalization or marquage, the French tradition of hand-painting initials and other designs onto bags and trunks. The boutique offers a comprehensive range of handbags, luggage, small leather goods and pet accessories.
