THE ART OF THE SCARF BY GOYARD

THE ART OF THE SCARF BY GOYARD

03-25-2014

La Maison Goyard designed its first silk scarf in the 1950s.

As a tribute to this chapter in its history, a line of scarves was re-launched in 2011. Inspired by the original model created by Robert and François Goyard, it revives the House’s historical codes while bringing a new edge to it with a resolutely contemporary and sleek aesthetic that revisits the emblematic Goyardine chevron pattern.

Skillfully handcrafted according to the highest standards, the Scarf by Goyard follows the great tradition of French high artisanat, as evidenced by its rolled hems -an ancestral technique only mastered by two workshops in France- or the exclusive method used for the silk printing process.

Available in as many colours* as there are shades of Goyardine, the Silk Scarf by Goyard bears the brand name « E.Goyard » in its lower right corner like a signature. One last chic detail: it comes in a refined oxblood and silver coloured box, which is a reedition of a box used by Goyard in the 19th century.

*The Scarf by Goyard is available in black, red, white, tan, green, yellow, orange, sky blue, navy blue, burgundy and pink.
