Eternal Masculine Look
“Whether men are called elegant, incredible, lions or dandies, they are all representative of the need, all too rare, to combat and destroy triviality”
Charles Baudelaire, Aesthetic Curiosities, 1867.
Since its inception in 1853, Goyard has had the priviledge of counting amongst its loyal clients many passionate aethetes who have taken masculine style as the cardinal virtue of their way of life.
The elegance of a movement, a gesture, a detail: Goyard has accompanied their search for beauty by creating cases and trunks to fulfill their demands, like the leather luggage designed specifically for the couturier Jean Patou, the authority on on Parisian elegance in the twenties, or the gold and red banded trunks hand-crafted for legendary dandy the Duke of Windsor, a man of great sophistication who reinvented the subtle art of tying a tie with a knot that still bears his name.
In celebration of the Duke’s style, and that of the elegants of the past and present, Goyard has created the Windsor tie.
A variation on the most iconic accessory in a man’s wardrobe, this limited edition is made from exceptional silk threads and in the strictest compliance of great French tradition.
Available in six colors (black, bronze, red, green, navy and grey, the Windsor tie shines with a subtle hue of the weft of its deep blue moiré.
As a signature of authentic craftmanship, each tie is hand decorated with a glove stitch that runs along its length and finishes with a narrow chevron embroidered in natural silk.
The Windsor Tie is available as a world exclusive at Les Comptoirs Goyard, 233 and 352 de la rue Saint-Honoré à Paris.
